Maw was due to finish work at 7pm and I had prepared some dinner and bought her a cake. At about 7.15pm I had the cake on the dining table and put all 47 candles on top and lit them all so she could see it when she came in. I turned around to amuse myself on the computer while i waited for her to arrive home. I looked round at the cake a couple of minutes later to find that it was on fire! While i was putting out the fire Maw came through the door and I was so upset that i had ruined her cake. Maw managed to scrape the candle wax and burnt bits from the top of the cake and ate it anyway. I don't know if this was because she wanted to make me feel better or she didnt want to waste cake though!
